At The Black Cat Apothecary, we take great pride in the quality of our handcrafted products and carefully package every order. Due to the nature of herbal products, our return policy is designed to protect both our customers and the integrity of our inventory.

Bulk Herbs & Botanicals

For safety and quality reasons, bulk herbs, teas, spices, and other botanical products cannot be returned or exchanged once they have been opened.

If your bulk herb order arrives unopened and there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Handcrafted Products

Due to the handmade nature of our salves, tinctures, capsules, oils, and other botanical preparations, we are unable to accept returns on opened products. If you experience a problem with your order, please reach out—we're committed to making things right whenever possible.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged during shipping or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

To help us process your request, please include:

  • Your order number

  • Photos of the damaged package or product

  • A brief description of the issue

Once verified, we will gladly replace or exchange the damaged or incorrect item at no additional cost.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund once opened or used:

  • Bulk herbs and botanicals

  • Tea blends

  • Capsules

  • Tinctures

  • Salves and body care products

  • Custom or special-order items

  • Gift cards

Refunds

Refunds are generally issued only if:

  • An item is unavailable and cannot be fulfilled.

  • An order is canceled before it ships.

  • We determine that a refund is appropriate based on the circumstances.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment.
